Microbiology and Fermentation Core Facility

Overview of Services

Some of the unique aspects of this facility are the fact that in addition to the conventional microbiology equipment, the facility is well set for large scale production of proteins.

It houses three fermentors (two of 30 liters plus one of 15 liters) for large scale bacterial growth.

The facility can be used by on and off campus investigators as long as they (and their biological samples) are in compliance with the Safety Department at RPI.
